Work Experience

User Experience Designer NAVTEQ (Aug 2008-Present)
I have worked on several different mapping products including enterprise and consumer web applications and a consumer navigation app for mobile devices.

For our primary product, NAVTEQ Locations, I have participated in the complete design process, including user research, concept development, information architecture, UI design and documentation, and visual design. I have served as lead for both user research and visual design.

Interaction Designer Traditional Arts of Indiana (Oct 2006-June 2008)
Led the design and development of FolkTraditions.com, a rich internet application to promote appreciation for Indiana traditional artists .

Freelance Interaction Designer Various Clients (May 2005-June 2008)
Designed and developed several web applications, including a college course registration system and an interactive photography portfolio. Work included information architecture, wireframing, visual design, and development in PHP, Javascript and Flash.

Software Development Assistant KCP Technologies (Apr-July 2006)
Facilitated project meetings and communications with external partners.
Assisted with quality assurance of software releases.

Web Developer Center for Innovation in Assessment (July-Oct 2005)
Developed and maintained the ROAR system, a database-driven web application used by Indiana elementary schools.
