		<description>Thanks for the balanced post. Personally I have found that the strength of weak ties is a REAL strength of online social networks. And that is why I recently changed my approach to connecting in Facebook from what you describe as your current approach to one where I now welcome a much wider range of people. That&#039;s not to say everyone, I currently have 27 requests which I don&#039;t think are really suitable. But I have gone out to a much wider range of weak ties deliberately. I think, I am happy with this decision - time will tell.

By the way your link to the Ellison paper in the footer is incorrect.
